are several different grades of
materials available from manufacturers.
The minimum grade, or "builder
quality" is made for the new home
builder and home center where
low price has a higher priority
than longterm performance. The
Better Business Bureau and other
Consumer Protection Agencies recommend
that better quality products are
usually the best investment for
the homeowner. Since labor costs
are about the same for installing
any grade of material, using a
low quality is never justified.
